Khruangbin played a 2 night stint at Boston’s newest venue, Roadrunner, with support from the incredible Nugya Garcia. I was there for night 2 and wow. Not sure this little piece is going be long because I don’t think there are words to describe Khruangbin live. It’s like a feeling. Like a vibe. Like a mood. The lights dance along with the smooth grooves that emirate from the speakers. The band moves gracefully, slow, and purposeful, adding little quirks and dips as songs slide and soar. The stage is complete with dual UFO platforms and dual disco balls that bounce light through the venue, creating a completely unique visual experience. It was beautiful, and we were treated to an encore and wardrobe change but Laura Lee which has he dawned in a sparkling pink ensemble that further boosted the dancing lights and swaying mood. Khruangbin are and experience not to miss.
