UPSAHL - NYC, NY 10.1.24
Coverage by Kimmy Curry
Pop musician Upsahl took the stage at the Bowery Ballroom on Tuesday night. The New York City stop of her Melt Me Down tour began with her latest hit “Tears on the Dance Floor”, a catchy pop track about dancing to forget. The themes of her opening song seemed to carry throughout the set as many of her upbeat pop-rock songs continued with a danceable hook that kept the crowd moving and singing all evening. The 25 year old singer has been writing and releasing music since her teenage years and has established a close bond with her audience. Fans from the front row to the back of the intimate venue were singing along to every word of Upsahl’s performance, and she showed her appreciation for her fans by playing some of her older songs. Upsahl released her debut record “Lady Jesus” in 2021 and has also toured with as well as writing songs for pop icons like Dua Lipa, Demi Lovato and more. She seemed well practiced in front of the crowd, striking the perfect balance between enigmatic and welcoming in her interactions with the audience.
The Melt Me Down tour continues across the US this fall before reaching Europe later in November!
