On October 16, 2022, CARR opened for the Wrecks at Fox Theater in Boulder on their Back and Better than Ever Tour. CARR and her drummer, Dylan Buzz Gold and guitarist, Michael Edwards started off the night with a burst of energy performing CARR’s hits, Shampoo and Bed Head. Known for her stage presence and promiscuous lyrics, she was immediately handed a sign that read, “Blow Job Queen” and a shot of vodka from the crowd. The room went nuts as she took the shot between songs.
Her electric performance was the perfect opening act for The Wrecks.
The anticipation and energy in the room was palpable between performances. There were six people dressed as bananas bobbing in the center of the GA floor if that gets the vibe across. Once the Wrecks ran onto the stage, the whole room was jumping as one and the energy was wild. The band outperformed even the highest of expectations. Anyone could’ve attended that show and had a blast despite their music taste. The lower floor was turned into a mosh pit multiple times and there were a handful of successful crowd surfers. The band even handled some equipment malfunction delays with humor, almost turning the night into a stand up show. These little moments added up, ensuring a bittersweet feeling at the end of the night. It won’t be long before this band moves up the food chain. Definitely a must see performance.
