KELLY LEE OWENS 9.13.21

Kelly Lee Owens brought the party to Boston with her version of electro-techno-pop on Monday. Sounds ranged from tranquil impulses to upbeat and head-banging bursts of energy, accompanied by intense lights and stimulating visuals.
Owens was non stop throughout the performance. Dancing, singing into the mic, turning nobs, playing keys, and pounding a sample pad with one and sometimes two drum sticks.
If the crowd wasn’t in full dance and sway, they were nodding to the beats and fixated on Owens who is a force on stage. Her back and forth between different tables was like watching controlled chaos. It was beautiful and urgent while still feeling relaxed and intentional. The reproduction of the sounds you can hear on her latest release, Inner Song, was a sight to see, and feel.
Owens joked after her set that she, “Can’t really follow that up,” and took a moment to thank the crowd and deliver some encouraging thoughts on the future and our togetherness, before walking the stage and applauding back to the crowd in thanks.
This was one of my favorite shows in a while and witnessing the bond between artist, crowd, and between the members of the crowd with each other, was really inspiring and wonderful to be a part of.
Do not miss out on this performance and go see Kelly Lee Owens on the rest of her tour.
