The people of Music City showed up and showed out for the sold out first show of tour for Field Guide last Wednesday. The Basement opened it's doors to an excited crowd, ready to get lost in the warm vocals and relatable lyrics of Dylan MacDonald. The raw emotion he conveyed during every song was contagious - especially in his 3-song acoustic set that happened mid-show. Those who were able to snag tickets before sell out were truly graced with the perfect mid-week pick me up, and left feeling like they had ascended to indie heaven. The band will be making their way out West to wrap up the remainder of the tour - spreading that feel good, easy listening, heart-wrenching (but in the good way) love across the U.S.
