It’s been a few days and I’m still coming down off the high from this show.

Drove around 40 minutes to a new part of LA I haven’t seen yet, found street parking 2 blocks from the venue, walked over and was immediately greeted by a snake woman, covered in blood and holding a sign that says “Satan is a Cunt.” And it was at this moment I knew this was going to be a good night.

Cancer Christ is complete and utter debauchery. But good Christian people. Without question… haha. Bloody bibles were ripped to shreds and tossed amongst the crowd, Snake people dressed anywhere from dresses to BDSM attire ran rough shot over the stage as frontman, St. Anthony delivered a sermon like no other. We are blessed.

Mizmor is heavy. Very very heavy. Through riffs, drone, and guttural utterances, Mizmor took the crowd on a journey. it was like a trance. I didn’t even feel the pain in my knees, feet, and back from being 35 and standing too long at shows. Yeah, I’m old.

And then we had EYEHATEGOD. Despite what frontman, Mike IX Williams, said about warming up only once they reach the end of the set, the band was incredible. Riffy, tight, intense, all the right adjectives to describe a good time.
