Australian singer and multi-instrumentalist Tash Sultana took Boston by storm with a sold out show at House of Blues on Wednesday night, on their Terra Firma Tour.

The diverse crowd quickly packed the room, and those arriving early were greeted by singer songwriter Josh Cashman, with a short and mellow set that won over the audience. The stripped down, acoustic sound would smoothly set the stage for Sultana.

The stage setup gives away the many talents Sultana possesses, with all their instruments and boards in full display, on a platform. The smell of incense filled the air as anxious fans waited for Sultana to take over. The show focused heavily on their latest release, Terra Firma, kicking off with “Musk”. For most of the performance, Sultana stands alone on stage, playing and tracking one instrument after the other, only to then jump off and blow the audience away with their stunning vocals.
The show felt more like one huge, fun jam session, with the exception of it being a one person band doing it all. Sultana would be later joined by the rest of the band, and would also sing “Dream My Life Away” with Cashman. Sultana’s connection with their fans is undeniable, bringing a smile to everyone’s face.
