Nashville based singer songwriter Trent Dabbs took the Racket Stage to support SYML. Dabbs had nothing but his guitar to take the stage, and he made it his. He was able to captivate the room with his voice and it was truly beautiful, he checked in with the crowd, showed his gratitude to SYML for bringing him along, and talked about some of his favorite moments of his career, one of which being Noah Cyrus covering his song Set for Life on her latest album.
Seattle native Brian Fennell aka SYML was immediately greeted with a thundering applause from the crowd. They went straight into performing, with stunning light presentations and soothing vocals, from their slow ballads to their songs that blew the audiences socks off. After playing straight through their first few songs they took the time to check in with the crowd, asking questions and giving tidbits about how fun tour has been. Varying from playing songs off their latest album or some of the classics the crowd knew all the words to whatever he threw at them. Before going solo in 2019 he was previously apart of the indie band Barcelona who he had been apart of since 2005. Fennell has been writing music under the name SYML since 2017 but has been performing for over fifteen years. His music has inspired thousands and even has captured the attention of renowned singer-songwriter, Lana Del Rey, who sampled his original song, I wanted to leave from his 2020 EP You Knew It Was Me.
