Jelani Aryeh opened up for Remi Wolf in Boulder, Colorado on her Gwingle Gwongle tour. With a confident air about Jelani and his band, there’s no surprise why the opening and main acts mesh well together, despite some slower songs from Jelani.

As they set the tone of the night with some of their hits and a cover, Jehlani asked for the lights to be lowered for a few slower tunes.

Wrapping up their set with their well-known hit, Stella Brown, the band took control of the audience who were dancing and singing with them. With a few standout guitar and piano solos, the group ended with a perfect high energy and a crowd ready to go for Remi Wolf.

Remi Wolf visited Boulder Theater in Boulder, Colorado as a stop on her Gwingle Gwongle Tour following the release of her debut album, Juno. Remi is known for her out of the box, funky, pop sound and fantastically unique lyrics.

As the crowd chanted her name, Remi finally took the stage and the screaming I heard from behind the photo pit made me think I had forgotten my ear plugs. The show started with an extremely energetic punk rock style performance of her hit, Quiet On Set. Throughout the night, every word of every song was screamed towards the stage.

Remi’s stage presence and interaction with the crowd was something you don’t get at most concerts. She was starkly confident and reactive with the whole room. Multiple times she had the whole room laughing. You can tell from some of the photos how much the crowd adores her. She didn’t let Colorado’s elevation get to her as she jumped and danced around the stage with impressive and creative vocals. She even played drums for part of the encore. Her and her band were all smiles on stage which amplified the fun and carefree vibe of the show. The stage setup was even unique with huge colorful flowers, a giant tree, animals projected on the back wall, and the perfect touch of smoke filled bubbles and a disco ball for her encore performance of Disco Man.
