CITY MORGUE / VEIN 3.29.2023

City Morgue kicked off their My Bloody America Tour with support from Vein at Big Night Live in Boston on Wednesday Night and with the announcement from City Morgue that this would be their last tour or last for a while, Big Night Live was sold the F out. The line to get into the venue was wrapped around the TD Garden which is right next to Big Night Live. It was cold too. Really cold, but fans packed in close in line. Decked out in fish nets, booty shorts, beanies, face paint, and numerous other amenities, the fans were rabid.

Vein opened the show and like none other, erupted on stage and off (see pics). The energy never relented as Vein blasted through an incredible set. Circle pits, push pits, crowd surfing, weed smoking, screaming, you name it, it was happening. Something I find noteworthy regarding Vein is that their sets always end in complete chaos. The stage is dismantled, pedal boards flipped, stage monitors attacked, its beautiful chaos.

If it wasn’t apparent, by the time City Morgue took the stage, the crowd was pounding with excitement. One fan in particular, who I chatted with, was screaming at the top of her lungs, covered in fake blood, and geared out, she was the sum of t he entire crowd packed into one tiny person. Shout out to you!

City Morgue somehow managed to evoke the same if not more energy as Vein. Their set was like a hardcore show. Back and forth across the stage, pounding bass, incredible crowd participation, wow. If this is City Morgue’s last tour, and Boston is any indicator of how this tour is going to go, DO NOT MISS THIS! Don’t ignore me!
