Blu DeTiger brought the energy to the Royale in Boston last Thursday on the opening night of her headlining tour which she’s dubbed the “Blu DeTour.” The bassist, who previously had toured with musicians such as Caroline Polacheck and FLETCHER, is now able to showcase her stunning vocal talents in addition to her talents on bass.

Blu’s opening acts, Half N Half and Tiffany Day were given lots of love by the Boston crowd. After each of their sets, DeTiger opened the night with songs like “Hot Crush Lover” and “Cotton Candy Lemonade,” as well as a medley of cover songs that seemed to be crowd favorites.

Further into the set, Blu played her new single “Elevator” and rounded out the night with her song “Vintage.” Throughout her entire set Blu was accompanied by her stunning sparkling blue bass and absolutely fantastic production for a venue of the Royale’s size.

I think we’ll be seeing Blu playing some big venues very soon, and I’d highly recommend catching the Blu DeTour if she’ll be playing near you!
